IS THE MARKET JURIED? WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN POTENTIAL VENDORS?
Treefort Market is a carefully curated juried event by the creators of Wintry Market. For this event we want to ensure the artists and local and regional businesses we feature create unique, high quality goods that are innovative and original. No factory made items are allowed in Treefort Market, with exceptions for vintage dealers, music industry business, and folks repurposing/recycling items in new and unique ways or original artwork prints. After reviewing all applications, we look for the following criteria to help determine who is accepted to participate in Treefort Market:
- How your items fit in with our vision of the Market; innovative and original items produced using traditional art/craft methods or related to the music industry.
- The quality, innovation and uniqueness of your wares and marketability.
- The overall cohesiveness and consistency of your work.
- If your work falls more into the categories of Fine Art, Fine Craft, Fair Trade Goods, High Fashion, Vintage, or Music Industry.
- The number and diversity of designs or products you offer, we want to keep our Markets fresh and exciting for shoppers!
- If the average price of your items is within the price range we desire for this market. We pride ourselves as being an affordable marketplace for handmade/vintage goods, with prices typically ranging between $1-$200.
WHAT TYPE OF PHOTOS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
Your photos are a very important part of your application. We make our decisions based upon your submitted photos and the information you provide in your application.
We expect to see photos of current work/items, which need to be sharp, clear, bright photos of single items and/or of several items together. We also expect to receive a photo of your booth display showing your typical product line.
HOW MANY BOOTHS ARE AVAILABLE, WHAT SIZE ARE THEY, AND WHAT ARE THE DESIGN REQUIREMENTS?
Treefort Market 2027 will have room for roughly 100 booths. Each space is 10' wide and 10' deep.
Vendors are responsible for bringing their own table/display/chair to fit within their booth space. All booth parts and pieces must be freestanding and must fit completely within the dimensions (no legs/poles allowed to overhang in the aisles/neighboring booths). There are no walls for leaning/attaching to. Tents are not allowed.
Power is available for an additional fee of $60 required by the venue; you will be able to request it up to three weeks prior to the event.
You will know the location of your booth space 1-2 weeks prior to the Market.
CAN I JOIN WITH A FRIEND?
Sure! Please apply using separate applications, but list the business you would like to share with in space provided on each application. No last minute additions of other makers or their items are allowed in your booth. If both of you are selected, one payment in-full should be submitted.
Participation at the Treefort Market is priced per-booth, so there is no additional cost for sharing a booth. We recommend setting up a mock booth in the 10' wide x 10' deep size restriction before applying jointly to make sure it’s enough space for both of you.
CAN I APPLY FOR 2 BOOTH SPACES?
Unfortunately, since booth space is limited, we are only accepting applications for ONE booth space per application.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF I’M ACCEPTED?
You will receive a response from us by email after submissions close (December 10th) on or before December 17, 2026.
IS THERE A FEE IF I AM ACCEPTED?
Yes, each vendor who participates in Treefort Market will be responsible for paying their vendor fee by January 1, 2027. This year's fee is $250 per booth and goes towards all the costs to run a successful Market.
Selected vendors must pay their full booth fee by the date emailed by the organizers or forfeit participation in the Treefort Market. Once vendors are notified and payment is made, no refunds will be offered if a cancellation is made. If a vendor does cancel, their spot in the Market is forfeited and they are not permitted to sell or trade their booth space.
DOES TREEFORT MARKET TAKE A COMMISSION?
No, 100% of all sales go directly to the artists.
ARE PERMITS NEEDED TO SELL AT TREEFORT MARKET?
Yes. We will send you the necessary information about this via email once you are accepted. It is your responsibility to make sure that you have all the necessary permits and licenses required in order to sell at the Market.
Treefort Market is not responsible for collecting sales tax, checking permits, or checking to make sure you are properly licensed. Visit the Idaho State Tax Commission for more information.
Once selected you must fill out the sellers permit information for the State of Idaho, details and link to be provided by the organizers as the event nears.
HOW DO I ACCEPT PAYMENT FROM SHOPPERS?
You will also be responsible for accepting your own payment in whatever form you choose (credit card, cash, check, Venmo, etc.) at the Market and should come equipped to do so.
